Inflamatory Breast Cancer
Hey guys... There is a video going around through email regarding IBC. The video was orignally broadcasted an a local news station somewhere in the US. Anways, you must see this video. I have no idea how to attach it and I cannot forward emails from my computer, BUT try to do a google search under IBC video. Basically, it's a silent killer that has little or no common breast cancer symptoms. THere is no lump, and it does not show up on a mamogram (sp?). The symptoms begin as a simple red mark similar to a bug bite and then progresses into stage 4 cancer. It progresses quickly. Any change in your breast not due to breastfeeding (I assume) should be reported to your doctor. Rapid growth, deformation, discoloration, sudden inverted nipple, hot to touch, rapid itching, etc. all are symptoms which are commonly misdiagnosed for a rash or bug bite. On the news cast, the reporter called 4 cancer resource centers to seek "fake" help for IBC. 3 out of 4 centers had never even heard of the disease. A doctor mentioned, "Many doctors have heard of the disease in medical school, but have never actually seen a case." There is no age limit. The broadcase discussed a 16 year old who died of the cancer because she was too embarassed to talk to her mom about her breast changes.

Elijah update: The little guy is doing great. He just needs a nap! Friday after school, he went straight to sleep for a nap, we had to wake him up again too.
Elsa will be 2 in 10 days! We're going to do something Maegan Hall has never done before... I'm not throwing a party. We're going to Chuck E Cheese to eat pizza and let her run around. We're going to open gifts, but I'm not sure where. I don't think she'll sit still long enough at Chuck's. I think we might do a small party at the house with only the 5 of us, and maybe order a small cake? Not sure. But we're definately going the craziest place on earth to celebrate!
Brianna starts homeschooling in 7 days!

MY CURRENT SCRAPBOOK
Since I don't have all the time I used to to scrapbook, this is my online version. Eventually when I print my photos, I can come back here and copy that stats.
I still do scrapbook, but mostly for writing articles. I will post those pages sometimes. You can always see my work and read my articles at www.Scrapjazz.com
