Food for thought:
My favorite "cravings" are:
Cinnabon (none close by in GA)
Panera greek salad
Olive garden steak gorgonzolo & salad
nachos and cheese from a gas station
John spoke about blogs today. It was just a small part of his sermon, but I heard it! He was talking about pride/humility. At one point he said, "Why do you think that anyone would want to hear what your thinking?" Meaning, do I think that my opinion or thoughts about _____ are so wonderful that they need to be heard? Then, I thought about my blog. I know why I do it, for my friends back in VA and my family. But, do you find that I chat about things that are stupid and prideful? Do you ever find yourself asking, "Why does Maegan think I care to know this?" If so, let me know. I want to grow in humility. I want my blog to serve my family/friends by keeping them up to date on everything, but do I annoy you with my ramblings about V8 juice and bagels? Or even my "pregnancy cravings"? Did you feel happy to know about Mexican television? WHICH BY THE WAY... I don't watch often, only every NOW AND THEN.
In my heart, I do not approach my blog as a means of me to "rant" which is one thing that John mentioned. But, I do constantly talk about things I like, sometimes things I dislike. Are these things really important when it comes to keeping in touch with my family? I'd like to hear your thoughts on this. Email me personally if you don't want to post. Seriously, I know some of you that "lurk" and don't post. Be a REAL friend and give me your input.

MY CURRENT SCRAPBOOK
Since I don't have all the time I used to to scrapbook, this is my online version. Eventually when I print my photos, I can come back here and copy that stats.
I still do scrapbook, but mostly for writing articles. I will post those pages sometimes. You can always see my work and read my articles at www.Scrapjazz.com

Maegan,
I don't see your blog as a rant at all. There are a lot of blogs out there that are just post after post after post of opinions on hot topics or what their view is on everything. I don't see you doing that. I don't think there is anything wrong with posting your opinion on something or view on something either. I think that if you were doing that every post or quite often that would be different. There are a lot of things I think we all should be open to discussing and talking about more. But not in a slamming or rude manner and I do think blogs are a way to start that conversation (especially for us shy people). I think on every post you have to ask yourself WHY. Why am I doing this. I definitly see your blog as a way to keep family up to date on your life and to share new pics of the kids. I know that is why I started mine. I didn't think many would read it...it was mostly for my family and friends (that is why I don't have it listed on the roll). My family call and email me when I haven't posted in a couple days. Being so far from my mom and dad it is a way for them to feel apart of my life through words and pictures. And my sweet little Grandpa is on there. He was worried about me and missing me when I was on vacation. Not that my thoughts and ramblings are profound and that EVERYONE wants to read my daily posts but to my family are a special way to keep in touch...and yes they do want to here my thoughts...but they are family. Friends...well its up to them. They don't have to read it. Another HUGE reason I started my blog was so that there would be something in writing for my kids in the future. My Grandmother wrote her life story and left it for us and I so treasure that. I print out my blog and someday when I am an old fart or dead my kids and grandkids will have somthing of me. They will see a glimpse of my personality. They will see what I believed. They would see how I faced even ordinary days. This would be something I would treasure from my parents and grandparents. Hope my kids do too. So all this rambling to say I think your blog is great. It is a piece of you to pass on to your kids. It is a piece of you to share with your family and friends. And I as a SAHM enjoy hearing what other people like and dislike...helps when I am looking for something similar etc etc.
But get some input from other friends or blurkers that don't blog. Cause I am a blogger so of course I am going to defend it.
I don't get to check your blog's often but when I do I really feel as if you still live down the street...I miss being able to hang out with you and yard sale with you and you were always so inspirational to me...I love reading about how the kids are doing and you and david and that beautiful little baby inside of you...keep it coming...I wish I could help you with some of your cravings...LOL take care and God bless...Traci
I love hearing about your life! I do not get to check out your blogs often...but I am very interested in what is going on in your life! I do not think you rant. Your blogs help me stay connected to you and your family. Do not change anything...I love your blogs! The random ones help keep -it fun. :-)
