Here is what I read for my quiet time the other day. It's from a Spurgeon book I bought David.

"In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" John 16:33

Spurgeon elaborates:
"I note how he bids me 'be of good cheer'. Alas! I am far too apt to be down-cast. My spirit soon sinks when I am sorely tried. But I must not give way to this feeling. When my Lord bids me cheer up I must not dare to be cast down."

"How can I look to be at home in the enemy's country, joyful while in exile, or comfortable in a wilderness? This is not my rest. This is the place of furnace and the forge, and the hammer."

"He says, 'I have overcome the world.' His battle was much more severe than min. I have not yet resisted unto blood. O world, Jesus has already vanquished thee; and in me, by his grace, he will overcome thee again. Therefore am I of good cheer, and sing unto my conquering Lord."

Yeah, I don't think I could've said it better myself.

I am glad to see you read somthing of substance that has nothing to do with scrapbooking. Maybe this will lead to a new series of blogs..... I can not believe I am commenting on this but Gerrie said I had to check this ou,t as she wants to start this new hobby of blogging. First e-bay then many other things thanks for being a good friend to Gerrie even from afar.

MY CURRENT SCRAPBOOK

Since I don't have all the time I used to to scrapbook, this is my online version. Eventually when I print my photos, I can come back here and copy that stats.

I still do scrapbook, but mostly for writing articles. I will post those pages sometimes. You can always see my work and read my articles at www.Scrapjazz.com
